ASTM D3364 PVC Melt Flow Rates Measuring test machine, MFR or MFI of poly vinyl chloride compounds, Melt flow index tester; UNITEDTEST is proud to introduce the MFI series Melt Flow Index Tester/Extrusion Plastometer.  They are suitable to measure the melt flow character of PP, PE, PVC, POM, ABS etc., plastic materials resin and granules.   


Principle:  The melt mass-flow rate (MFR) and the melt volume-flow rate (MVR) are determined by extruding molten material from the cylinder of a plastometer through a die of specified length and diameter under preset conditions of temperature and load.

Test Procedure:

Approximately 7 grams of the material is loaded into the barrel of the melt flow apparatus, which has been heated to a temperature specified for the material. A weight specified for the material is applied to a plunger and the molten material is forced through the die. A timed extrudate is collected and weighed. Melt flow rate values are calculated in g/10 min.


 This model is a fully automatic model, which drives the ball screw to rotate through the stepper motor to achieve the purpose of automatically controlling the top loading weight to rise or fall;

 3-stage temperature control mode, 3 sets of platinum resistance sensors, 3 heating sleeves for separate temperature control, high-precision intelligent PID control, heating slope that is, heating speed can be adjusted;

 Built-in temperature stability prompt alarm, and add GB/T3682 specified 300 seconds/240 seconds material preheating second countdown, after the countdown is over, the mention will be issued signaling, you can also set the American standard ASTM D1238 and other warm-up time;

 Built-in a variety of plastic material melt flow index test conditions, easy for customers to access and use at any time, reduce the tedious workload, and store the last test conditions and results;

 Sensitive 7-inch touch screen controller, which can store and list the latest test conditions and data, and the test printing menu can be set including the test time (system default), operator, material name, test method, test conditions (temperature, weight weights, cutting time interval), test result data, measurement The test result is artificially judged to be OK or NG, etc.;

 RS232 interface or USB interface is reserved to connect to the computer, which can control the operation of the instrument and transmit the test data to the computer;

 Support all international test standards and methods, including ISO 1133, ASTM D1238, ASTM D3364, GB/T3682 and other national standards or international standards organization standards.
