1, Determine the specifications of the dumbbell-shaped specimen according to testing standards (such as GB/T 1040), select the corresponding mold or cutting tool, and install and secure it.  

2, Adjust the positioning device and clamping mechanism of the equipment, set parameters according to the thickness and size of the material to be processed, and ensure the specimen is accurately positioned for processing.  

3, Place the plastic specimen flat into the fixture, clamp it securely, and prevent the specimen from shifting or deforming.  

4, For electric models, start the equipment and let the mold/cutting tool follow the preset path to cut the specimen; for manual models, operate via a crank or pressing mechanism to complete the processing.  

5, After processing is complete, turn off the equipment, remove the specimen, and check whether the dimensions and edge smoothness meet the standards; use qualified specimens for subsequent testing.  

6, After use, clean the equipment, molds/cutting tools, and workbench, regularly check the sharpness of the cutting tools, and grind or replace them if necessary.
