ASTM F1160 Rotary Bar Bending Strength Fatigue Test Machine

Rotating Beam Tester, a sample is placed in the machine and a force is applied via a bending moment from a secondary actuator. The force induces a surface stress that will be tensile on one side of the sample and compressive on the opposite side. When the test is started, the sample will rotate at the desired rate and this rotation will cause the surfaces to interchange so that each surface experiences alternating tensile and compressive stresses. The sample is left in the machine until failure at which point  will display the number of cycles it took for the sample to fail. Running a series of tests on identical samples with varying stresses will allow the user to create an S-N curve.


UnitedTest Rotary Bar Bending Strength Fatigue Test Machine is used for conducting small sample cantilever pure bending fatigue tests on black metal and its alloy materials under room temperature and high temperature conditions, to determine the fatigue performance of metal circular cross-section test samples under bending moment under rotating state.

This testing machine adopts a cantilever beam structure, consisting of a frame, an AC high-speed motor and driver, a measurement and control system, a loading weight, a high-temperature furnace and controller, a high-temperature fixture, a lubrication device, a protection device, etc. The equipment has a rotation counter.

The fixture uses elastic front and rear clamps to hold the sample, and the clamp is connected to the spindle elastic cylinder clamp to achieve precise fit, ensuring that the radial runout of the clamped sample meets the requirements of navigation marks and national standards.
