Touching Screen Pendulum Impact Testing Machine

Model: JBS-300B, JBS-500B

JBS-300B Pendulum impact testing machine features an electric pendulum lift that automatically returns after impact, making it particularly suitable for batch and continuous testing. The main unit is designed strictly in accordance with the national standard ISO 148-2 "Inspection of Pendulum Impact Testing Machines" and conducts impact tests on metal materials according to the national standard "Charpy Impact Test Method for Metals."

The test specimen has a cross-section of 10×10mm and is mainly used for testing ferrous metals, especially steel and its alloys, with relatively high impact toughness. This machine uses a cantilever beam structure to enhance the rigidity of the impact tester, ensuring the accuracy of test data and significantly extending the service life of the machine.

The machine is equipped with an axial positioning device, offering advantages such as simple specimen placement, high operational efficiency, high positioning accuracy, and reliable readings, making it particularly suitable for conducting cold impact tests in conjunction with an impact test low-temperature tank. The machine operates on a three-phase, four-wire 380V power supply.

It is designed and developed according to standard of ISO148, ASTM E23.

Key Features

  • Features
  • Touching screen program

1), Pendulum rising, impact, free releasing is realized as automatically by micro control meter or remote control box;

2), Safety pin guaranties the impact action, standard protection shell to avoid any accident

3), With two pendulums (big and small), digital display the energy loss, impact tenacity, rising angle, and test average value, meantime the dial scale show test result as well.

4), With two pendulums (big and small) and corresponding two Dial scales to read test result.

5), Built-in micro printer to print test result.

1).  Operating Language Model: Chinese/English, switch freely between Chinese and English except Print interface

2).  Automatic taking pendulum: first time taking pendulum by hand, after taking pendulum, the impact tester will taking pendulum again. The display area will display test result when each testing is finished. In groups of three tests, One group is finished, the average value of three impact tests can be available. New group test will be done after restarting

3). Store function: 100 test data will be stored, including test name, original test value, average value, test time etc

4). Print function: the present data and past data can be stored by USB, invented print the picture

5). Alarming functions: when the impact tester have trouble, touch screen will display and provide handing method.

Standard

ISO 148-1 Metal Charpy pendulum impact test methods

ISO 148-1 defines the method for the Charpy (V-notch & U-notch) pendulum impact test to determine the absorbed energy when a notched metallic specimen is broken by a single swinging pendulum blow. It does not cover instrumented impact testing (that belongs to ISO 14556).

ASTM E23 Impact Test Methods for Metal Notched Bar

ASTM E23 covers both Charpy (simple‑beam) and Izod (cantilever‑beam) notched-bar impact tests. It applies to all metallic materials for impact tests using pendulum machines.

EN 10045-1 Charpy Impact Test for Iron and Steel Castings

EN 10045‑1 regulates the Charpy simple-beam pendulum impact test for metallic materials, covering both V-notch and U-notch specimens. It defines unified rules for specimen preparation, machine requirements, operating conditions and result reporting.

ISO 148-3 Charpy V-notch test pieces for indirect verification of pendulum impact machines

ISO 148-3 core focus is to establish unified rules for manufacturing, qualification, certification and proper use of Charpy V-notch reference test pieces, which are essential for the indirect verification of Charpy impact machines as required by ISO 148-2.

ISO 148-2 Verification Charpy impact testing machines

ISO 148-2 specifically formulated for the verification, calibration and performance inspection of Charpy pendulum impact testing machines used in Charpy impact tests per ISO 148-1
