Universal Testing Bench for automobile seats, seat anchorage points, and head restraints strength is designed based on mandatory testing requirements of automotive seat safety regulations such as ECE R17 and GB 15083, and is capable of performing strength tests on car seats, seat mounting points, and headrests. The system should be equipped to carry out static strength tests, dynamic impact tests, and fatigue durability tests, covering the full-process inspection and verification of key components including seat assemblies, mounting points, and headrests.

General introduction

Universal Testing Bench for automobile seats, seat anchorage points, and head restraints strength is designed based on mandatory testing requirements of automotive seat safety regulations such as ECE R17 and GB 15083, and is capable of performing strength tests on car seats, seat mounting points, and headrests. The system should be equipped to carry out static strength tests, dynamic impact tests, and fatigue durability tests, covering the full-process inspection and verification of key components including seat assemblies, mounting points, and headrests.


This test bench is applicable to:

Seat assemblies of M1 passenger vehicles and N1 light commercial vehicles.

Front seats, rear seats, and individual headrests.

Key components such as seat frames, adjustment mechanisms, and mounting points.

1 Backrest Strength Test Unit

Loading actuator: Servo electric cylinder, rated thrust 10kN, stroke 300mm

Force sensor: Wheel spoke tension-compression sensor, range ±10kN, accuracy 0.1%

Loading head: Spherical hinge structure, self-aligning to avoid lateral forces

Displacement measurement: Laser displacement sensor, resolution 0.001mm, maximum speed 40m/s

2 Headrest Test Unit

Loading device: Dual-column structure, adjustable in X/Y/Z directions

Loading head: Contoured indenter, compliant with regulatory requirements

Force sensor: Range 2kN, accuracy 0.5%

Position adjustment: Manual or electric adjustment, positioning accuracy ±0.5mm


3 Fixed Point Test Unit

Multi-channel loading: 2 independent loading channels

Loading direction: Can simulate loading at different angles (adjustable 0-90°)

Synchronous control: Force value synchronous error ≤2% for each channel

Tooling fixture: Quick clamping device, adaptable to different fixed point distances


1 Carriage System

Drive method: hydraulic accumulator drive or electromagnetic drive

Guidance system: linear guide rail or guide rod, friction coefficient ≤ 0.01

Braking device: hydraulic buffer or energy-absorbing device

2 Data Acquisition System

The 5922D dynamic signal test and analysis system is specially designed for strength and life evaluation tests of large structures. It adopts a 19-inch standard chassis structure and uses gigabit Ethernet communication. Through switch expansion, a single computer can perform multi-channel dynamic signal parallel synchronous testing and analysis. Combined with accelerometers, laser displacement sensors, and gyroscopes along with power spectrum and spectral density curves, it specifically analyzes the energy absorption characteristics of various components under different structural forms, as well as the mechanical characteristics exhibited at different speeds.


Acquisition card: 32-channel synchronous acquisition, sampling rate ≥100kHz

Sensor configuration: acceleration, angle, velocity, laser displacement (settlement testing)

Accelerometers at key points on dummy (head, chest, pelvis)

Seat mounting point force sensors
